![]() ![]() Her clothes suggest wealth, and her comic features her in a shooting contest, refusing to be even second best. Musketeer, on the other hand, doesn't seem to actually be a soldier as much as a professional or a performer. Arbelest is a soldier, thrust into hard combat at a young age (so her comic would imply), and you can see how living through hardship and warfare could teach her the value of medical practice, and of caring for her comrades, hence her healing and support abilities. One thing I spent a lot of time thinking about was how the Musketeer's personality was different. Should she get high damage through a high crit rate, and have abilities that help her set up crits? Or should her damage be more of a consistent thing, with higher base damage but a lower crit chance, leaving Arbalest's Crossbow to emphasise rewarding crits, while Musketeer just lines up regular shots with a more powerful rifle and perhaps abilities that shred or ignore enemy prot. But then it gets a little more interesting to think about, like how to handle her damage. In the end I went with this overhaul, but looking around at what was out there made me think a lot about ways to make the Musketeer her own unique character.Ī lot of the common changes are common sense sort of things, like giving her less health than Arbalest but with more dodge, changing her setting from heavy to light, making her the most accurate class, things like that. ![]() So the other day I was making a new save, and I wanted to actually use the Musketeer (I always have it off because it feels like it just dilutes the item pool without adding much of anything), so I decided to look around at the Steam Workshop to see what reworks of the class there were. Tl dr I might make a mod for Musketeer at some point, I think she's a neat character with a lot of potential Okay so I swear I didn't mean to write an essay I just have a lot of thoughts about this soRrY ![]()
